We MKD International have been working with several customers to understand and address our Scope 3 emissions.
Environmental Commitment
We confirm that the Tier 1 and Tier 2 manufacturing sites we contract with have set greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets covering the manufacturing sites ‘Scope 1 and Scope 2’ emissions, in line with the criteria and recommendations of the SBTi
Supplier Coal Phase Out
We MKD Global Textiles have been working with a major global customer to understand and address our carbon emissions.
We MKD Global Textiles commit to phasing out/moving away from coal for owned and contracted Tier 1 and Tier 2 manufacturing sites used for their product as soon as possible, and at the latest by 2030.
Supplier Scope 3 Emission
We are working to understand and address our Scope 3 emissions.
We have measured our Scope 3 Category 1 (Purchased goods & services) and Category 4 (Upstream transportation) emissions, setting reduction targets aligned with SBTI Net Zero Standard v1.2 and the Paris Agreement’s 1.5°C goal. (Baseline: 2024, Target: 2030)

FACTORY
Certifications:
We are working with variety of vendor factories who have various compliances. We have an internal assessment team who carefully selects the vendor factories according to our clients compliance needs.
We have compliance factories having Wrap, Sedex, and Disney Certifications. We are a Social Accountability and Ethical Sourcing Organization. Some of our vendors having ethical compliances like SA 8000.
Our compliance team will audit the compliance certifications of vendor factories from time to time, to assure our promise towards client’s compliance requirements.

Quality
At MKD we have our own SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) for Quality Control. This ensures all Merchandise that we ship meets our clients Standards.

Pilot Run Inspection
Once the production starts (approximately 50-75 pieces completed), pre-production check is carried out. The observations are recorded in Pre-production inspection report.
A minimum of three pieces per size / colour are selected and verified for measurements.

Inspection during Production
In-line Inspection
During production in-line inspection is carried out. The observations are recorded in In-line inspection report.
Inline inspection is carried out daily during the course of production for an order, to effectively control quality. Pieces are randomly selected and verified for quality parameters & SPI.
End-Line Inspection
After 70 % of the consignments are packed, End-Line inspectors conduct a pre final inspection. This is considered as a Mini Final Inspection. The audit will cover styling, measurements, quality of packing assortments, presentation & finishing.

Inspection after Production
Final Inspection
After completion of the consignment final inspection is carried out as per the BS 6001,MIL STD 105E & AQL – Normal Level II Standards. The results are recorded in Quality assurance inspection chart. For measurement check, Measurement verification chart will be used during inspections.
If a critical fault is found, merchandise will be subjected to 100% re-inspection by MKD team. If the number of major & minor faults are above AQL 2.5, the merchandise will be subjected to a re-inspection. The factory will be advised to recheck goods fully and offer for re-inspection.

Facilities
Laboratories are an extremely valuable component of our service which facilitate smooth business transactions between manufacturers & exporters. Our laboratory services check colour matching as per the requirement, weight, dimensional stability, shrinkage, appearance after washing, colour fastness to washing and staining, rubbing.
To carry out laboratory tests, MKD Internationals has a sophisticated in house testing lab. We conduct testing on fabric and also on finished garment. We offer technology packages composing any or all of the following services customized to our client’s needs.
- Colour Fastness Tests, in all Varieties
- Fibre Content & Labelling Instructions
- Flammability ( Vertical / Inclined)
- Analysis of Dyes, Water, Effluents, Chemical and auxiliaries
- Tests based upon customers specification.
We perform all type of tests to ensure our products are shipped defect free.
